U4-U5-U6 Guidelines
Coaches,
1. Visitor calls coin toss
2. Corner kicks and throw-ins allowed
3. White goal box in front of goal is "no player zone". Infringement from offense results in a goal kick from defending team. Defensive infringement results in in-direct kick from bottom of the center circle. Make room for the kicks, players should be at least 3 yards away.
4. U4 and U5 coaches are allowed on the field, take advantage and roam around everywhere with the kids. Take extra moment to help the kids understand the Ref's call. U6 coaches need to stay on the side lines.
5. Be patient and forgiving with the ref's, these games are their training ground.
6. No goal keepers, and do not make a point to station a child in front of the goal. The game is intended to help them develop dribbling and passing skills so they all need to get involved.
7. Game length; 4 10min quarters, 2 min break between quarters & 5min half.
8. The biggest challenge is getting the kids to change direction of attack after the half.
9. You have the ZERO tolerance policy read it and remind your parents it will be strictly enforced. No sarcasm, harassment of intimidation will be tolerated.
10. Remember to pay the refs in CASH, no checks, home team pays, bring correct change.
