Thank you for registering your child to play soccer. The many volunteers in our association will strive to make this a positive and enjoyable experience for you and your child. If at any time you have a question or a problem that cannot be answered by your team’s coach, please contact your age group commissioner through the website address listed above.
A few points of information:
Game Dates
The Fall season games will begin in late August and run through early November.
The Spring season games will begin in late February and run through early May.
Most games are played on Saturdays; however, due to scheduling and field availability; some groups may have a few weekday evening and/or Sunday afternoon games. You will receive your game schedules, rules and field location maps from your team’s coach prior to the first game of the season.
Team Formation
NEW to North Texas: A
Player may invite a friend from the same Member Association who was not registered in any Member Association during the last two seasons to join his existing team with the permission of the Member Association.
Equipment
Every other fall, all players will receive a new uniform consisting of a numbered shirt, shorts and socks. Each spring, the returning players will use their uniform they received in the fall, and any new players or players requesting open draw will receive a new uniform prior to the beginning of the season. Every player must wear shin guards during practices and games. Soccer cleats must be worn. Please use the following listing when determining the correct size soccer ball for your child.
U04, U05, U06, U07, U08 --- Size 3 Soccer Ball
U09, U10, U11, U12 --- Size 4 Soccer Ball
U13 and Older --- Size 5 Soccer Ball
Practice Times and Locations
Coaches are responsible for establishing team practice times and locations. Practices for the U04/U05/U06 age group are limited to one 1-hour session per week. For the U07/U08 age group, two 1-hour sessions per week. For the U09 and older age groups, two 2-hour sessions per week.
Coaches
We are in need of volunteer coaches and assistant coaches in all age groups. Past coaching experience is not a requirement. All of our coaches are required to have a “G” license. HUSA provides a “G” level license clinic. If you are at all interested in helping, please contact your age group commissioner.
Refund Policy
100% up to 7 days after close of registration
50% up to season start date (First scheduled game)
No refunds after season has begun
